Film Review Short Shorts: Tintin et le Mystère de la Toison d’Or

TINTIN ET LE MYSTÈRE DE LA TOISON D’OR (1961) by Jean-Jacques Vierne: 9/10

24 Words or Less: Brilliant for many reasons. Terrible English dubbing, hilarious wigs, the deeply literal commitment to costuming like the comics. Racial stereotyping so bad it’s funny.

Best Bit: Disembowellers! Blistering blue barnacles! Basically Captain Haddock, and especially his beard.
